A landscape project designed to make the most of Wellington’s morning sun.
Jayne and Glynn worked hard with their architect to create their dream home and garden.
When it came time to chose a landscaper they could trust to implement their extensive landscape design, Scapegoats were the obvious choice. We transformed a dark, steep and narrow street-front path into a light, open and welcoming entranceway.
Working our way up, we acid etched concrete paths and steps, lay lush green lawns, built extensive retaining and rendered block walls. Higher we went, with warm hardwood stairs and crisp white dressed balustrades, to the upper Vitex deck, porch and courtyard.
Curved rendered block walls created a bespoke high end feature and a mature established corokia geentys green hedge finished the ultimate structured look perfectly.

Planting with New Zealand native flora
Native New Zealand plantlife is suited perfectly to Wellington’s wily weather conditions. Because of their adaptability to local environmental conditions, most New Zealand native plants are able to thrive in Wellington landscape design.

Keeping your lawn healthy
You’d think your lawn would be thriving with all this rain. While summer might sear patches into your lawn and cause your grass to brown, winter drowns everything in mud; the sort that’s easily shifted and deformed under even the slightest application of pressure.

Lessons from Japanese landscaping
The beauty of ornamental Japanese landscaping is that it can be achieved in the smallest of spaces. A small front yard or back yard can be transformed into an intimate natural escape.
